Our trip to the Zoo

We got a season pass to the Zoo this past year and it has been great. We have gone about 5 or 6 times so far and the kids love it. We went this past Monday and although we were only there for a couple hours the kids had a blast. Nicholas got his face painted last time we went (he was a tiger) and insisted on getting it done again. This time he chose a leopard. He was so cute. They had a lot of fun looking at the animals. We saw a cheetah and a leopard. A couple giraffe, monkeys, rhino, hippos, polar bears and lots of birds including 2 bald eagles and about a dozen pink flamingos. We also got to see HUGE turtles. Nicholas also enjoyed chasing a few small birds that were hanging around the picnic area. It was a fun day. Here are just a few pictures.

Why buy toys when you have a box??

This was cute. Chad and I went out and bought some new luggage for our upcoming vacation and the box it came in is pretty big. After church yesterday the kids wanted to play with it so I had Chad cut out little doors and windows. The kids had so much fun climbing in and out and up through the top. Why buy toys when a box means endless hours of fun??

Playground

Today we went to the playground near our house. The kids love it. Nicholas had fun building a sand castle with Chad and Jake loves to swing on the swings. We also got a small four wheeler from my dad when we were visiting this past week that the boys love! Nicholas rode it into the playground and Jake rode it around a little bit afterwards. They really love it. Since I forgot my camera in Ny I will have to wait until next week to post pictures from our weekend in NY with our families. Here are some of the pictures from the park.
